Ang Inter-modal Terminal

ANG INTER-MODAL TERMINAL

Sa pagkakaunawa ko kapag sinabing “mode of transportation” ang ibig sabihin ay “uri ng sasakyan” ….maaaring jeep, bus, trak, tren, traysikad, tricycle, kotse, taksi, o aircon public van. Kaya kapag sinabing “inter-modal”, ito ay may kinalaman sa iba’t ibang uri ng sasakyan na nagpapasahan at nagsasaluhan ng mga pasahero.  At, ang “inter-modal” terminal kung para sa kapakanan ng mga pasahero, dapat ito ay kinapapalooban ng mga paradahan ng mga sasakyan na pagpipilian ng mga pasahero upang sakyan patungo sa kanilang destinasyon pagbaba sa bus o ano pa mang uri ng sasakyan galing sa probinsiya.

 

Halimbawa, kung ako ay galing sa Cavite, pagdating ko sa inter-modal terminal, dapat ay mayroon akong malilipatang sasakyan papunta sa Ayala, Cubao Baclaran, o Quiapo. Ibig sabihin ay hindi ko na kailangang maglakad ng ilang daang metro upang makarating sa hagdanan ng  overpass o skywalk para tumawid sa kabilang panig ng kalsada, maglakad uli ng ilang daang metro upang makarating sa jeepney stop o bus stop para sumakay na naman papunta sa Ayala, Cubao, Baclaran, o Quiapo. Kung ayaw kong gawin yon ay mapipilitan akong sumakay sa taksing nakapila sa loob ng “inter-modal” terminal, pero para aking hirap sa pera ay malaking epekto sa budget. Paano kung kasagsagan ng ulan?….kapag tanghali na tirik ang araw kaya nakakapaso ang init?

 

Ang sitwasyong nabanggit ang dapat na isaalang-alang ng mga taong itinalaga ng bagong presidente upang masolusyunan ang trapiko sa Metro Manila, hindi ang paghukay ng mga kalsada upang gumawa ng subway na magiging underground river lang tuwing panahon ng baha o di kaya ay maglagay ng mga “hanging stations” para sa cable cars na magdudulot lang ng kapahamakan sa mga pasahero dahil sa inaasahang mababang uri ng maintenance na nararanasan na tulad ng sa MRT at airport terminals!

 

Ang dapat planuhin ng mga taong itinalaga ni presidente Duterte ay mga infra-structure na angkop sa kalagayan ng Pilipinas at kultura ng Pilipino….HUWAG MANGGAYA SA IBANG BANSA.

BASED ON “FIRST IMPRESSION”

People have varied attitude and character, with the negative ones most often surfacing when they react to harrowing experience in the hands of others. Some people are just not patient enough to stand the ordeal of being ridiculed and downtrodden….as they have no saintly character. When they show unsavory reaction such as flaring up and to a point, cuss, they are marked as “bad”.  What is forgotten is the word, “provocation”. Simply put, had these hyper and “Type A” people, been not provoked, the flaring up or cussing, may have been avoided.

 

People who know about their being a “Type A”, take extra care not to be provoked as even their physician gives them such order. But for how long can their patience hold their senses together in a situation where they are confronted with inconsiderate people that make their blood pressure dangerously zoom up if they will not release the tension in the form of anger? There are also people who become momentarily blinded with anger resulting to a violent act on their part, or worst, their death due to heart attack! The “take it easy” from compassionate friends is easier said than done.

 

Some people try their best to generate a good “first impression” from others by showing their good side and many of them are expert in this farce. Some of them are the “saintly” church-going regulars who assume their true character upon reaching home. And, some still, who can act out this travesty in the best hypocritical way are the “kind” politicians who do all possible to land a post in the government as they go around kissing sweaty checks, embracing tobacco-reeking old folks, and shaking grimy hands when they campaign prior to election…but show their true color as they assume their office. In this regard, people would not just believe when allegations about their involvement in drug cases and ghost projects are exposed!
