Great post. Indeed, age is a state of mind. The most important thing is how we feel about ourselves. It’s hard to be healthy in this kind of society we live in today where instant gratification reigns supreme and distractions are all around us. But we should still do our best to live our lives to the fullest.
Ahahaha. I can relate to your lady friend. Depending on the situation, I’ll either say I’m 4ever 19 or 4ever 21. I actually feel younger than my actual age. 🙂
In the West, working beyond age 60 is almost a given. Society knows that there is much productivity left in people of that age and older. In the Phiippines, this is not easy to take advantage of; opportunities for gainful employment — or even for volunteer work by retired seniors — are limited. What a waste!
This brings to mind the problem of too many people. We have too many younger workers competing for positions.

I wrote that dahil sa isang kaibigan, she is a lady….since 4 years ago, she keeps on telling others the same age…
